Samsung has already carved itself in the tablet market with its Galaxy Tab, their first tablet. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 sports a new Android 3.0 or Honeycomb operating system. It is powerful, lightweight and very user-friendly. In fact, it is a whole lot lighter than Apple's iPad. The connectivity has both WiFi and 3G capabilities, and an upgrade will let you connect through 4G networks.
3. Toshiba Tablet
Toshiba recently released its own version of an Android 3.0 tablet. Its resolution and software, commonly incorporated in Toshiba television sets, is also a key feature of the tablet. It greatly improves the image quality and further enhances the standard definition video to look like high resolution. This makes the tablet possess a very good screen. To further enhance its screen features, the tablet's screen brightness adjusts accordingly depending on the lighting of the environment. Moreover, the tablet has an added feature of a replaceable battery.
4. HTC Flyer
HTC has always been associated with producing one of the best smartphones in the market. This time, they are releasing their first tablet named the HTC Flyer. Most of the new tablets that are out have the Android Honeycomb system. The Flyer still runs with Android Gingerbread which may give a little disappointment to some consumers. However, the aluminum unibody shell of the tablet with its HTC Sense overlay compensate for the Android downgrade. This tablet can also record audio quite well. It also offers a lot of widgets and applications making personalization very easy.
5. ASUS Eee Pad Transformer
The unique design of the Eee Pad Transformer sets it aside from other tablets. It comes with a detachable keyboard that easily makes it look like a netbook. The screen features a very sharp 1280 x 800 resolution, and Asus has added a high-quality IPS display which improves one's vision when viewing the screen in angles. The Transformer is powered by Nvidia Tegra processors, and is also running with the Android 3.0 operating system. It has a 5 MP camera at the back with LED flash and a 1.2 MP camera on the front.

While some might consider these features important, some may consider it otherwise. It all boils down to the consumer's personal preference and budget. Choosing a tablet with an Android system isn't a mistake either. With a wide array of applications available on the internet, consumers will find the Android tablets a bang for a buck.

What I am trying to get at is the fact that many tablets I discover across are given to me as a check for a month at a time or even during an industry trip, I dont require to establish my decision for the top tablet PC 2011 on the fact an unit might deserve to be the top. My choice for the top touchscreen PC 2011 will be based on the tablet I use everyday because I was so impressed that I went and bought my own, therefore my choice for best handheld PC 2011 is the Ipad 2 64GB WiFi.top handheld PC 2011 best touchscreen PC 2011 - Why the iPad 2 Now then before you go and rip my decision for the top tablet PC 2011 let me just say this nomination does not come easily, when I spend my hard earn cash on something like this it has to be special and the Ipad 2 is. In my opinion I still think other brands are chasing the iPad and at best they can only copy its specification, yes there is the flash v no flash debate and then there is the entire thing about what is the best Operating system. I use my iPad 2 everyday it was this thought that lended its name to my website name, it has never let me down but I am open to suggestions. This is why just the other day I wrote about my nominations for the top tablet PC 2011, it is because of my feelings towards the iPad 2 why I excluded it from the nominations for top handheld PC 2011 the other week. The other thing I must say is the iPad 2 is my selection for the top tablet PC 2011 because it delivers every month by being totally reliable, I actually purchased the first generation iPad which I gave to my mom after she had a breakdown at work. Angry birds helped her recover by letting her relax, so much so I didn't have the heart to take it back from her plus it was a perfect enough excuse to get hold of the brand spanking iPad 2. Although my iPad accompanies me to work my laptop is my merchandising tool where as my iPad fills the gap for everything else, everything just feels more fun on the iPad. See I told you it was personal the iPad went beyond me and helped someone come through the hardest period of their life, making this decision for best handheld PC 2011 extra poignant.

The 3 Best Tablet PCs of 2011: tablet pc reviews 2011
Computers are becoming more and more compact and portable, and the demand for tablet PCs are steadily rising. What most people look for in a tablet PC is convenience as well as supreme performance. The problem is, there are just too many choices available today. Even mobile phone manufacturers have started manufacturing tablets with excellent performance and attractive designs. What is so great about them anyway? First and foremost, many people think that they are much more convenient than laptop computers. Besides that, the touch screen feature is just hard to resist. You can do your work anywhere, anytime without having to carry a heavy laptop or a big laptop bag. A tablet is small enough to carry around in a handbag.
Touch screen smartphones feature mostly the same functions. However, they are just too small for web browsing. Now you're maybe wondering, which tablet should I buy? If you want the best, you can choose one of the three best tablet PCs of 2011, as reviewed below.
Let's start with the Samsung Galaxy Tab. This gadget is available in two sizes: 7 inch and 10.1 inch. Thanks to its dual core processor, this gadget is able to deliver excellent speed and power. The processor allows you to surf the internet, watch videos or play games in an impeccable speed. Additionally, the Galaxy Tab also features Adobe Flash compatibility which allows for unrestricted web browsing. You might also be interested in the BlackBerry PlayBook. Almost everyone owns a BlackBerry smartphone these days. But do you know that there is a BlackBerry tablet PC as well? The 7 inch PlayBook offers multitasking capabilities, uncompromised web browsing, and excellent multimedia playback. In addition, it features a very attractive design and it is ultra light weight. You do not have to worry about security since the PlayBook offers advanced security features.
Last but not least, there is the HP TouchPad. This 9.7 inch, 32 GB, Wi-Fi enabled tablet PC allows for seamless multitasking thanks to its webOS 3.0 operating system. You can also listen to your music collection with supreme audio quality thanks to the Beats Audio technology. Its 32 GB memory capacity also allows you to download and store hundreds to thousands of songs, movies, pictures and so on.
So those are the best tablet PCs of the year. If you want to know more about these gadgets, you can read numerous reviews on the internet as well as computer magazines.
The best PC tablets 2011 provide you with the advanced performance and flexibility. It is time to replace your ordinary laptop or computer with those PC tablets.
This is a quick personal review for the Asus Slate EP121. If you guys are interested on this tablet, I suggest you do some research and ask yourself why would you need a tablet PC. Top 5 Best Tablets 2011: samsung galaxy tablet 101
Tablets are hot business. The slim touch screen devices were not so long ago limited to sketchy sci-fi movies, but now everyone wants a post-pc device. And with good reason because sometimes running an app on the big screen is nothing short of magical. Here are the best tablets of 2011 as of April, determined by specs and odds for success.
5. Archos 10,1" Internet tablet 101
Weighing in at 480grams, this 10" tablet is very light and offers one of the biggest screens available. And the best part is that it will only set you back about $ 300. for that price Archos offers a webcam, speakers, USB, hdmi, card reader and android 2.2, the latest till 3.0 finally finalizes.
So in short great specs, but why only fifth? Well they had to cut it short somewhere, and unfortunately the screen quality and build quality aren't to write home about. And Those do matter in a tablet.
4. MSI Windpad
A tablet can be seen as a blown up smartphone with apps, or as a futurized PC. MSI chose for the latter and equips the windpad with a fresh install of Windows 7. It runs on a 1.6ghz atom, which is faster than most processors talked about today, and has 32gigs of memory available to the user.
For $ 500 it's still one of the cheapest despite being a complete PC. The MSI gets my praise for going against the current but it's too bulky and slow to earn a higher spot in this list.
3. LG Optimus pad
This tablet was introduced during CeS of this year with a thickness just slightly better the original iPad. Android honeycomb comes installed and it runs on the latest Nvidia tegra chip, with 32gb available for storage. So the hardware is good, but what sets this tablet apart is the screen.
The LG optimus pad comes equipped with a 8.9" 1280x768 screen, so the pixels are dense. And here's the kicker, it can do 3d! Now it isn't completely like the space movies just yet. Users will still need to wear those dodgy glasses and it comes at a heavy price - 900 dollars and not a penny less.
2. Apple iPad 2
Apples second tablet after the company introduced the tablet to the market last year, and by doing so they convinced millions of people to buy into a category of products they thought they didn't need, think again.
Still powered by the mighty iOs, apple improved the iPad 2 by upping the speed, slicing the body, and adding eyes at the back and front. The screen is fantastic, an IPS display, and the aluminum body makes this the supermodel in the tablet industry. Starting at $ 499 and topping at $ 849, there's an iPad for everyone, that is if you can find one.
1. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10,1"
Samsung follows the apple route this year. This second generation of tabs comes in three screen sizes, of which the smallest is useless (imo), and the 10,1" arguably offers best bang for buck. This tablet is just as thin as the iPad 2 but lighter, mostly due to the cheaper materials used by the Koreans. prices start at $ 500.
To be honest the top 2 are equal and buying one over the other will probably be a case of being iOs or android oriented. But the galaxy tab has the best theoretical specs and the extra screen options makes this a very competitive product and a likely one to succeed. If the Galaxy S is an indication, this thing will fly!
And there you have it. My top 5 best tablets of 2011, listed by offering and guesstimated likeliness to succeed. My advice for newcomers. When you buy a tablet first choose which direction you want to head in. Android, iOs or windows, the latter being a netbook replacement in many ways. Then look at the offering and what suits your style/budget best. Happy tableting!

PhoneArena reviews the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) was announced without much fanfare at the MWC expo last month, and we even had a jolly hands-on time with it, as well as with its smaller sibling, the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). It is coming as a slightly downgraded 10-incher from Samsung, for the sake of affordability, and we have a preview unit to check out in the office... 2011 Top Five Tablets - Including the Toshiba Android Tablet: tablet pc price
If you are looking to buy a tablet, then certainly you have been overwhelmed with the amount of choices that you have today. It seems that every single technological company on the market today is mass-producing and introducing tablets as way to get their money from the massive tablet market. For years, the leader in the industry has of course been in the Apple iPod. The biggest down side to the Apple iPod, is of course - the price. 2011, was a huge year for tablets and some of the tablets introduced have not only faired well in side by side consumer comparison reports - but have also been a big hit with consumers looking to spend moderate money on a tablet.
So, which are the best? Is it the iPod, the Kindle Fire or the Toshiba Android Tablet? (Or maybe none of those)
The following is a list of the top five selling tables of 2011, and some of the key points that enabled them to be such a hot item. Remember, if you are in the market for a tablet - you should definitely keep your options open and come up with a definitive budget first and foremost, because prices vary by hundreds of dollars in the tablet market.
1. Toshiba Android Tablet. Toshiba introduced the Android 3.0 tablet and it rapidly became a big hit. Not only does it come with more than adequate resolution and software - it was designed to be the best tablet for movie and video watching today. This tablet is priced moderately, depending which version you get and is sure to please nearly anyone looking for an aesthetic and usable tablet operating system. This tablet has all the features of traditional tablets, including a camera, and reached extremely high sales numbers in 2011.
2. Samsung Galaxy. The Samsung Galaxy tablet has received a lot of buzz especially since it is the only tablet that is actually lighter than the iPad. This tablet runs on the Android market and has one of the best camera and video built in devices, which rivals that of Apple. For folks who are extremely interested in picture and video capability, this is likely the best tablet on the market today in that niche.
3. Motorola Xoom. One of the best things about the Motorola tablet is that is has dual core processor which makes it extremely fast and ensures that video streaming is seamless and quick. It has both 3G and Wi-Fi capabilities, and packs enough storage to keep you going for a long time.
4. HTC Flyer. What, never heard of the HTC Flyer. This is a great tablet for the price, especially for folks that don't need a lot of performance. Since it operates on an older Android system, it definitely won't be as fast or up to date as the Toshiba Android tablets, but is still a great product for the money. This is the perfect starter tablet.
5. Asus Eee Pad Transformer. One of the best features of this unique design is that it is the only tablet that comes preequipped with a detachable keyboard. Many consumers think that this tablet has the feel of a netbook rather than a tablet, which for many is preferred. While cheaper than many tablets on the market, it too runs on the new 3.0 Android operating system and comes with a 5-mega pixel camera. Picture quality is decent, and for most folks this tablet will do the trick, especially since it costs less than $ 250.
All in all, there isn't just one winner when it comes to tablets. While the Toshiba Android tablet is certainly a front-runner and a great rival for iPad, your tablet decision will be based on many different things. Your best bet is to head to a store and try them all out, seeing which one fits the best in your hand and in your lifestyle.

It's only 7-inches big (diagonally) and it's powered by the Snapdragon 1.5GHz single-core processor. Since Apple launched the iPad back in April 2010, an entire industry has set its eyes on this brand new market of internet touch screen tablets. Aided by its amazing marketing machine, Apple took the world by storm with the iPad, selling a whopping 7.5 million devices over the course of 2010. Competition is never far behind in the consumer electronics industry with tech giants like Samsung, Archos, and HTC preparing their own internet tablets to grab a larger piece of the enormously lucrative market. For this reason, 2011 is set to be an intense year for tablet enthusiasts, a potential year of the tablet as many pundits claim.
The iPad has been successful in captivating the minds and souls of millions of people from around the world. The elegance of its design, the quality of the manufacturing and the refined simplicity so closely associated with Apple have transformed the touch screen tablet into an instant hit. It is estimated that the iPad currently holds a massive 95% of the internet tablet market. In April, Apple is expected to announce the next generation of internet tablets, the iPad2, which will feature many improvements over its predecessors.
Nevertheless, Google, the archenemy of Apple in the mobile world, has pushed hard its Android operating system and turned itself into a competitor that can take on even the mighty iOS. Taking advantage of its open nature (Android is free to license), Samsung created a serious challenger to the iPad: the Galaxy Tab. The Galaxy is a 7" touch screen tablet, hailed for its features such as the dual cameras and Flash support. In 2011, the Galaxy Tab is expected to lead the Android tablets pack and gain a strong foothold in the ever-expanding internet tablet market.
Almost every major consumer electronics manufacturer has announced or is rumored to launch a touch screen tablet in 2011. Most of these will be Android tablets, although some companies such will use their own OS. Among them, RIM is expected to announce an internet tablet called Playbook, and Asus has announced that it will produce Windows-powered devices along with a series of Android tablets.
Motorola has already begun teasing an Android tablet powered by Honeycomb, aka Android 3.0. Rumored to be called the Xoom, the tablet will employ the advanced capabilities of Honeycomb to threaten the virtual monopoly held by Apple on the internet table market.
Asus, the successful Taiwanese netbook manufacturer, will present its line of Android tablets at the 2011 CES, in Las Vegas. The touch screen tablets from Asus will have various form factors and feature cutting edge components, such as an HD screen and a dual-core processor.
Acer, Toshiba, Panasonic, Archos and a slew of smaller manufacturers also have plans to launch their own Android tablets during the 2011 CES. There is a real race to secure a foothold in the touch screen tablet market, a race that will have consequences for years to come.

The tablet's camera surely beats iPad's cameras; Motorola Xoom sports a 5 MP front camera and 2 MP rear-facing camera. While standard features offer 32GB of local storage and 3G connectivity, it is not impossible that in the near future software upgrades will bring you much more storage and 4G connectivity.
4. LG Optimus Pad LG Optimus Pad is the one tablet with a 3D experience. Yes, it is bulkier (in other words, heavier and thicker) than regular tablets. However, it is clear that this Optimus Pad is a breakthrough among tablets with 3D. LG Optimus Pad's 5 MP rear-facing camera has 3D video capture capability. However, its display is not 3D compatible. LG Optimus Pad has an 8.9 LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1280 x 768 WXGA resolution and 15:9 aspect ratio. Comparison Of The Best Tablets On The Market During 2011: 10 tablet pc
With so many tablets being introduced and numerous more planned to be introduced, it is hard to find out exactly which ones are the best tablets among all. If one feature is present in one so called 'best tablet', the other will come with an upgraded version of that feature or a completely new feature not in any other tablet to rightly take place as the best tablet among all. From various reviews in it evident that the best tablets out of those currently launched are iPad 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab and Motorola Xoom.
Without a doubt iPad 2 can be declared as the top among these above mentioned best tablets. Apple's cult-like culture which fosters loyal Apple customers who religiously follow and purchase almost every product launched by the company is one of the very factors why iPad 2 is one of the best tablets currently around. Another reason could be the comparatively more attractive product design which guarantees thinness and lightness. iPad 2 only weights 1.33 lbs and is 0.34 inches thick. The screen size is 9.7 inches, which is wider than some of the 7 inches tablets. All the best tablets taken into consideration here come with 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB but iPad 2 has a disadvantage over the other two best tablets as it does not support external memory. Furthermore, out of the best tablets, iPad 2 is the only one with 2 MP rear and front cameras, a quality which is easily beaten by other products considered as one of the best tablets. However, what ascertains Apple iPad 2's position as the top among the best tablets is the 300 thousand applications that are available for users of the device from Apple's own iStore.
Motorola Xoom with its 5 MP camera and flash supporting system is said to be one of the best tablets which could possibly be the iPad 2 killer. The screen size of Xoom is 10.1 inches. Considering the speed and the screen size Xoom might just be the best of the best tablets, even iPad 2. However, what leads to it falling behind iPad 2 in sales and popularity, consequently losing points as the best tablet, is the limited number of applications available which is estimated to be approximately 100 thousand. Samsung Galaxy Tab is also one of the strong contestants in the battle for the title of the best tablets. What makes Galaxy Tab one of the best tablets is the user-friendliness of the Android OS platform specifically designed for tablets. Also, in aspects of application availability and compatibility, Samsung Galaxy is the best tablets around.
After reading reviews of various products of different brands claimed to be one of the best tablets, it is apparent that no one tablet can be claimed as the best of the best tablets as the varied features of each product caters to different needs and wants. What makes these three mentioned products the best tablets is high popularity, but they might not be considered as being one of the best tablets by someone else. So if your favorite tablet is not among the best of the best tablets, it is mostly because the judgment is purely subjective depending on needs and expectations.

Today AT&T announced their revenue for Q2 2011. AT&T announced that their revenue is up 2.2 percent from last year making them .5 billion. They also gained a total of 1.1 million subscribers which adds to the total of 98.6 million subscribers. And 5.6 million smartphones were activated on the network which is up as well. Over half of those smartphones are iPhones which is good since AT&T is still selling them even after Verizon started. AT&T also has something new and that's a new phone from Google. So starting on the 24th of July which is this Sunday AT&T will be getting their own Nexus S for a pretty nice 0 on a two year contract. It will be available at Best Buy too. Now the only top US carrier that doesn't have a Nexus S is Verizon. So I wonder if Google will launch a Nexus S for Verizon anytime soon. And we'll have to see about the Nexus S successor after that. Last year the iPad was pretty much the only major tablet on the market. But now things have changed. Apple lost quite a bit of market share and now they only have 61.3 percent of the tablet market share since Android now takes up 30 percent of the tablet market share which is amazing growth from last year. And RIM and Microsoft still aren't doing well and Microsoft is actually ahead of RIM even though they don't have an actual tablet operating system yet.
