Even though major companies like Apple, Samsung and Motorola are stealing the spotlight from other tablets, they still fail to impress the fans of Windows OS tablet PCs. Among the many tablets PCs, the Fujitsu LifeBook TH700 has stood out as the best tablet PC. The Fujitsu Lifebook, which has also received the Golden award by the TopTenReviews website as the best tablet PC of 2011, is not only affordable but also comes equipped with many attractive features.

Before mentioning the positives and specifications, it is essential to mention two of its drawbacks. Fujitsu has a comparatively weak processing speed and comes with a warranty of less than 3 years. Coming to the positive aspects of this tablet PC, it runs a full Windows 7 64-bit home premium operating system. The Fujitsu Lifebook, comes with 320 GB 5400 rpm hard drive and a 4 GB RAM. The screen is sensitive to the touch and responds to finger tips or stylus pen. The LED screen size, compared to other tablet PCs, is wide at 12.1 inches. The screen resolution is 1280x800 and comes with WXGA screen technology.

The battery life of the Lithium ion battery is above average as it lasts up to 5 hours. Other features of this tablet PC includes built-in Atheros XSPAN 802.11 B/G/N wireless adapter. It is undeniable that Fujitsu is the best tablet PC of 2011 as this N wireless adapter is the latest and till now, the greatest Wi-Fi technology introduced. Unlike the normal tablets, this one has LAN, USB Firewire, VGA, HDMI, ExpressCard slot, memory card slot and an audio port. The availability of input and output ports, unlike other fancy tablets, makes Fujitsu, more attractive to users.

Despite of the attractive features of this Windows tablet, the performance, quality and the price of Fujitsu Lifebook makes this the best of the best tablet PCs introduced in 2010 and 2011. Compared to popular tablets such as Samsung and Motorola which have Android platforms, this one is far more user-friendly. The Windows 7 platform is commonly used by many individuals not only the users of the Fujitsu LifeBook. It is proved by research that it takes Windows users less time to adapt to other platforms than Apple users, thus, users of this tablet PC or other similar products in the running, can adapt to other platforms easily if required. Gigabyte S1081 unboxing www.netbooknews.com The Gigabyte S1080 has gotten an update to the S1081 and we've decided to unbox it for you as well. The upgraded 10.1 inch tablet is nearly identical to the S1080 apart from a Cedar Trail processor bump to the N2800 processor. The processor change is actually a very significant one since one of the main flaws of the S1080 was that it was too hot, the N2800 allows for a much cooler experience, it still gets warm, but it's not even close to the same levels that we saw with the S1080.

  2. Curious about a few things. What is the battery life like with the standard battery and the extended? How does the screen look in sunlight and is the HDMI port full HD 1080 out?

  5. The Gigabyte S1081 looks like a nice tablet. However, unless you absolutely need a tablet, you should buy a standard laptop instead. The S1081 costs $655. The D1080 docking station costs another $170 for a total of $825. On sale, a standard 15.6" laptop which has an Intel i5 CPU with 8 GB RAM and 500 GB HDD will only set you back $600. The laptop is faster, has more RAM, more HDD space AND a larger screen.
