Swype 3.0 for Android Honeycomb Tablets, Reviewed on Motorola Xoom

android honeycomb tablet Videos

Download Info: www.smartkeitai.com In this video, we take Swype 3.0 beta for a spin on a Motorola Xoom Android Honeycomb tablet. The latest version of Swype offers new, tablet-friendly features like being able to re-size and move the keyboard, which enables users to "swype" and scroll while still holding the tablet firmly in both hands. If you prefer using the more traditional method of tapping out each letter, you'll be happy to hear that there's now tap correction, or predictive tap. This allows you to focus on speed over accuracy just like with the swiping method. Also, the word suggestion box has been improved with the ability to side-scroll for more options. Check out all of these features in our video review of Swype 3.0 beta. MobileBurn.com - Here's a look at a handful of native tablet applications for the Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS. The apps were all used on Verizon's new Motorola XOOM, which features a 10.1-inch widescreen display. The demo includes Gun Bros, Tank Hero, AccuWeather, Rocket Bunnies, Pulse, Talking Tom, Angry Birds Seasons, and Google Sky Map. Most of the apps worked fine, but not all of them. 6. I use swype on my galaxy tab. It's great but the dictionary is terrible... it doesn't know any proper nouns like cities, states, days of the week, names, etc. Incredibly frustrating. Anyone have a suggestion other than entering words manually and teaching the dictionary?

  7. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 comes with Swype. They included it in the latest Touchwiz UX update... :)
Briefly went over it in our lengthy software video overview.

  10. Yeah, you're right, the smaller keyboard could be a slightly reworked for more comfort. While I can still use it, I do have to stretch a little when reaching closer to the middle of the tablet. You should contact the swype team and mention it! For starters, they could bring it in closer by getting rid of those drag areas on either side of the keyboard (I'm sure they can place them elsewhere).

  11. Good video, but the smaller keyboard is still about two inches too wide for me to comfortably swype while holding the Xoom. I hope they shorten the width before official release.

  12. Yes, I just have a bad history with Samsung, I don't like the plastic either xD

  13. Ahh, I see. If you don't mind the weight and average screen, Xoom is a very solid Android tablet. You may not even notice the weight/screen issues if you haven't used an iPad/iPad2 much. Of course, the extra weight is probably part of the reason build quality of Xoom feels so great - premium materials?

  14. Yea, I don't really like Samsung and I think the lack of hdmi would make me want the xoom.

  15. I'm not sure which version you're using, but with v3, swyping "still" will come out as "still," not "stol." Are you using the looping feature for double letters? s-t-i-loop on l. Actually, it won't even let me swype "stol" at all...

  16. Good grief. Do you know the difference between application software (apps) and game software? Here's a hint - they're not the same. This video shows game software, not the apps mentioned in the title.

While in fullscreen and tank heroes is upside down press CTRL+ALT+Down arrow key to flip the screen:p
Then just repeat with the Up arrow key to put it back to normal
