I did a lot of research, then waited for a sale. I bought the Toshiba Thrive 32 gig model, because they didn't have the 16. I love the full size SD card, the full size HDMI, USB, and mini USB ports. I feel I made the right decision. I don't care about the weight, I don't care about the thickness, I do care about the removeable back, because I can change the battery, and extend the running time, and indeed the life of the tablet. I would like the docking station now. Thank you for the review,
ReplyDeleteok i have this tablet and i feel its if not the best tablet avalible for gaming with emulators web surfing listening to music and even tho it lacks in some places like the amount of games on android i love this tablet i have a stand/case and it makes using it hell of a lot easier and i think it out does the ipad in every way exept for about 1 i am pretty sure that the screen is like .5% worse resolution screen then the ipad but this still feels like a more complete and user friendly product :)
ReplyDeletei thoought you going to give out roits points?
ReplyDeleteThis tablet is great. Just a couple things though, it doesn't play .MKV files worth a crap and where the removable back meets the outer screen bevel it's a pretty sharp edge there. I have watched several reviews on this tablet and no one ever mentions that. But if you hold this thing for any length of time it starts to dig into your hand and get pretty uncomfortable.
ReplyDeletemeh. the acer iconia a500 and the sony tablet s are better.
ReplyDeleteCan you run different OS on this. I'm thinking of linux
ReplyDeletedoes the notepad ++ program, compatible with it and does it run smoothly
ReplyDeleteI have a thrive. Yes you can transfer mpg, avi mkv files to it. Its best to use mp4 files to save space. You can also keep word docs too.
ReplyDeleteI have one and its great. Im using the awd launcher ex app and its nice.
ReplyDelete2:04 More like things we already own. I sure as hell ain't gonna spend more money on Micro SD cards, Micro HDMI cables, and MIcro USBs which most of the other tablets require.
ReplyDeleteSomeone listed it on ebay as buy it now.
ReplyDeleteSo I can just transfer my movies (mpg, avi, mkv) into this tablet and watch it anytime? It can act as a storage device?
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get it for 200? Brand new?
ReplyDeleteGot one today for $200 . Love it.
