Archos Internet Tablets and Mediaplayers

Archos Internet Tablets and Mediaplayers: archos 5 tablet

Archos, the French producer of digital entertainment, recently released the new line of internet tablets and mediaplayers. These tablets do what an iPad does..and more! They are smaller compared to an iPad, lightweight and have unlimited Wi-Fi access, so you don't need to have an internet-subscription. Therefore Wi-Fi spots in public places can be used with these Archos devices, allowing you to be online 24/7.

These nifty little devices can be carried around in your pocket without any problems. They are as small as a mobile phone and have the same features, but are also equipped with some extra's that make the difference. This counts for internet-tablets, but also for the new line of mediaplayers Archos released earlier this month.

Archos mediaplayers have a reduced weight compared to others and are capable to play heaps of audio- and videofiles, including.mkv (1080p Blu-Ray quality). This ain't exactly necessary for such a small device, but it can be quite handy if you want to transfer the.mkv files to for instance a personal computer with a bigger monitor. These Archos mediaplayers have a multi-language menu and an extremely easy to operate menu structure, so even dummies can handle it within seconds.

Archos internet tablets are quite new to the market and have became popular since the first release of the iPad. Archos however decided they could make something better and created a smaller and lighter version of it running on Windows instead of Mac OS. The specs are equal for as far as these operating systems can be compared, but the Archos is simply easier to carry around. Also it has some unique features like a TV-tuner, radio, and built-in virus scanner making it safe to browse around the web.

Based on these facts, one should definitely consider both devices instead of simply picking the iPad for its name. Archos deserves a good chance with this new line of internet tablets and has all it takes to compete against the iPad.
