  1. All of the tablets i have ever used so far keeps doing this annoying thing where i try to draw a straight line.. And the result is a complete zig zag party mess.

Is this one really reliable? Is ANY tablet reliable?

  9. Why would you need a wireless tablet? It's not like you're going to draw far away.

  10. Thanks, I'll be sure to check that out!

  11. For drawing (and not doing heavy photo manipulation), you might ought to try SmoothDraw 3, it's free and open source. You could do sketches and drawings in there, and then move over to GIMP/Photoshop/Paint.NET to do manipulation stuff.

  14. hey i got the same exact tablet as you did but for some reason when i try to use the tablet. the pen is all fidgety and either it doesnt move on the screen or it goes around fidgeting. i downloaded gimp but i dont know how to override the screens or how to make the pen on the screen go smoothly like yours does. nothing comes out when i click either. such as lines and what not got some advice?

  15. Fuck monoprice. Their delivery is garbage (norco overnite). Fucking it's supposed to be overnight and the tracking number still doesn't work after a day. Newegg for life.

  16. Hello, do you know something other than the 2,200$ Wacom tablet that shows the image on screen? Thanks so much

  17. does it work with mac

  18. Just curious if you're still using the monoprice tablet and if there was a fix for the multi monitor / cursor alignment issue you had when your secondary was enabled. Did you have the same problems with Photoshop (if you tried it)?

  19. That deserves an award or something :)

  21. If your going to get a tablet, get a wacom intuos 5 small. Best tablet on the market.

  22. This isn't necessarily true. Some artists work better with longer smooth pen strokes, while others work well with smaller strokes. It basically just comes down to preference.

  23. I know right! It would be nice to have one.

  24. Oh, lol yes, thanks! Sucks that its like.. A couple of grand XD

    ReplyDelete
  25. um, do you mean have the image on the tablet rather than the screen? Cuz this one doesn't work that way. Wacom has one that does but its a couple grand.

  26. Can you make it so that it doesn't go on the computer screen but on the tablets screen.. ?? Sorry I'm not good at the technology talk XD!

  27. bigger is not better. with tablets. you should buy the smallest tablet that gives you enough control. bigger means more hand movement on the tablet, and since you do this all day...

  28. its got less resolution and is a bit slower report rate but otherwise the same

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hope that helps :)

  30. thanks i will try that out right away!!

  31. Try MyPaint for sketching. It's also free, and works great

  32. Make sure to get the old version (2.6) of gimp if you want pressure sensitivity. The new one (2.8) does not support it in windows.

  33. Does 8x6" monoprice has all the same features?
