After a plethora of news and speculations Google now has its very own smart phone - Google nexus one which was released last month. Built by HTC, the product is independently branded by Google. The phone, launched as an option to Apples iPhone is a class product in its own right.

Though a few hiccups jarred the image of the phone at testing level, there seem to be none too much with the actual product itself.

The first thing that hits the user is that the phone is fast. It really is. It is easily the most advanced android based smart phone. With 1 GHz processor it makes up for the uneasiness that is normally associated with android OS. With the latest version of android, some of features such as moving wallpapers become panoply in the background. This may consume a little more power but its nice to look at on the smart phone's display.

The hardware is also catchy and stylish. Sleek and stylish, the phone has enough to catch the eye of speculators. Backed by rubber back and well rounded corners, the urbane product is a treat to set hands on. At 4.5 inches tall by 2.4 inches wide by 0.47 inches thick its one of the slimmest smart phones on the market. The track ball placed thoughtfully is totally unlike others. Easy to use and responsive, it is a pleasure to use.

The display of the phone is stupendous to state the least. It is crystal clear and has intuitive touch screen. The display is a delight but looses its sheen in bright light. The 5 MP camera does full justice to the superb display at hand. The chick phone has a voice text input function too. The drawback of this is that it requires a quiet environment to function in an apt manner but nonetheless its fun to use especially for Facebook updates.

Geeks especially may find this phone pretty awesome to state the least. There are extensive setting features and technicalities to shape up the interface. Though a Gmail account is a necessity, IMAP and POP3 web accounts can be set up really easily.

Well the Google Nexus One Phone touted as iPhone killer, there are some drawbacks that could well be improved in its next version. For starters, it does not have a multi touch feature. Also outlook calendar cannot be synchronized with the nexus one. A better touch key board won't hurt easy usage of the phone either.
