Samsung Galaxy Tab (GT-P1000) preview. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7-inch Android tablet first hands-on Powered by the Android Operating System 2.2, the GALAXY Tab is the first of the company's tablet devices, representing a new category of mobile products for Samsung. Hardware specs * Android 2.2 running TouchWiz 3.0 * 7-inch TFT LCD with 1024 x 600 resolution (WSVGA) * Weighs 380 grams * 1GHz Cortex A8 processor * 16GB or 32GB internal storage * microSD expansion for up to 32GB additional storage * Front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera and rear 3 megapixel camera with flash * 4000mAh battery * 3G data / voice (there's a speakerphone and Bluetooth for phone calls, but no earpiece) * 5GHz dual-band 802.11n WiFi * Standard back color is white, carriers might offer different colors * Full HD video playback * There's a 30-pin dock connector on the bottom that allows for HDMI, USB, and docking accessories (a car dock at least is planned)

The Tab has phone and access to the Android Market. It will be available through US carriers starting some time in October or November of 2010. It has a 1024 x 600 capacitive touch screen, 3G, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and both front and rear facing cameras.

    @ina2and8 ROFFDOL - normally i can think of an appropriate build comment.. but .fukkit.. that logo would be the most apt for any corporation. - "The lobotomized sheep Corporation - We make you realize you dnt need to get lobotomized, we do it for you. - TLS Corp Inc, LTD (PTY)" - side note.. if you ever lobotomize a sheep, we retain the right to sue you for everything, and we enact our right of retention of your lobotomy. You will be relobotomized at such a time of our choosing.

    @ina2and8 i agree.. but my question is this.. y the fuck are people comparing the galaxy and ipad... ipad isnt a fucking cellphone.. ... oh well... maybe people will stop being idiots one day and take thier own needs into account and not get all froidianized by marketeers..

    I want one! The only down side to it is that it seems a little small to be a tablet... I'm used to my iPad but nonetheless, I'd love to get one of these! The flash browser would be excellent!

    I love the fact that it has flash that's the one thing I've always hated about the iPod touch and iPad no frikkin flash!!! Thank you Galaxy tab :)

    Your so RIGHT,
    I was an apple fanboy but not anymore.
    I bought the samsung vibrant & i was amazed of what it can do.
    I can download almost all kinds of songs straight to the phone using wifi or 3g without paying apple-hehehe, you dont need to root or unlock it, just download the application then in 1 minute your downloading tunes you like.
    That is just one you cant do in APPLE products out of the box.
