For more details, check out our web site: www.phonearena.com Since its inception, the iPad has long remained at the top of the tablet universe without seeing much threat from the competition. Of course, we can name quite a few devices that were poised to challenge its supremacy, but there has yet to be a legitimate contender that can slow its sales. Through it all, the iPad continues to stand head above water over its rivals. Well people, it looks like that might all change with the Google Nexus 7, as it seemingly employs all the correct ingredients for a major shakeup...

  1. Most people who brag about Nexus 7 and android saying it's the best have not even used any products from apple or even tried out the ipad, soon ios 6 will be released and a whole bunch of new features will be put into it, so stop saying "fuck apple" when you haven't even tried any of their products!

Nexus all the way. Since when did it become the rival ? Even Google stated this is in no way a comparison to the iPad. Besides $199.99 is better than $500.00 on any day.

  6. True. Nexus 10 itself is speculation as it were, but assuming the success of the 7, it would be a no brainer for Google if it was also priced to move. Even if the specs were the same for the guts (minus the display which would be higher) that would be a killer tab. The boom it could create for Android as as platform may be a game changer that may just drive the changes needed with more software development from third part developers.

It will happen, just a matter of when and how much.

  7. id agree with all of that apart from the nexus 10, we dont know the price, specs, size or anything really about the nexus 10.

  8. Decent review, but to say that the Nexus 7 does not have killer specs, that's just not right. The real decision is made in these places:

    - size
    - available storage space
    - OS preference
    - ecosystem

No more fighting, people. Comparable on all sides. Each house has a great offering.

The real comparison will come when the Nexus 10 comes out.

  9. you are wrong sir, Apple is copying a lot of Android's look and feel. Remember Android's notification?

  10. He is trying to so hard to justify ipad's $500 price. How come Nexus 7 doesn't have killer specs? iPad has only dual core and Nexus 7 has quad core processor with 16 cores GPU for just $199 dollars. Hate one sided comparisons.
