android tablet 22 Videos
Not sure is this is the 1st Nexus Tablet mounted in the dash of a car, but it's the 1st one I have seen. I had the idea to mount a 7" tablet in my car after my Pioneer double din radio died and I was using my iphone to listen to music, I though why not just mount a tablet in the dash? PLEASE TURN ON ANNOTATIONS, i have lots of info popping up throughout the video. For details or if you have any comments or questions please check my work log: www.mp3car.com

A run-through of how to install applications on the Sylvania 7" Android Tablet
I've just been using Google play, I uploaded about 300 songs so far to the service, then I just stream it back for free. I can have some of the songs stay on the unit and play locally just by checking a box by the song, pretty fresh.
ReplyDeleteI've been doing this for months with my Galaxy tab 2 7.0 but I bought a universal dock. Looks like you have it in the damn dash. That's sick! I'm having trouble getting windows media player to sync my music library to my Nexus 7 I just got.

Are you just using the headphone jack from the tablet to go to an amp, or were you able to use the USB port for the audio out source?
ReplyDeletenice set up you got there in your car. but looks like verizon rips off you guys on data charges. on my three uk connection i get on a monthly contract ... 2000mins, 5000text, UNLIMITED data including tethering for £25 a month. Wish i could set up a car infotainment device like yours. would gladly pay to have a removable set up like yours using own nexus 7
ReplyDeleteYou are correct, I got it to stop and start this volume app that was loading at start up, but it wont even kill that, the only way to stop it is to uninstall and re-install. Stupid. I wonder if there is a program start manager similar to "msconfig" in windows where I can tell a certain program to not start up automatically.
ReplyDeleteNote to self : Stop using the task killer. Android 2.3 and up DOES not need it. First rookie Android user mistake.
