ReplyDeleteArchos are the masters of video rendering with a long history of pre-Android products in this area. So watching high res video without jerkiness should be a major use case here. I look forward to exploring if it can stream transport stream (TS) video from my Dreambox over NFS. The Archos 5 IT was almost there.

ReplyDeleteI will be getting this tablet for my bday it is priced 400$ for the 16gb SSD Model and for the Archos 7 is 350 $ the Ipad here we have only a 32gb version for the Ipad which cost 800$

ReplyDeletelol except the galaxy pad has sd, a camera on fron and back, flash, and cheaper. ipad is a fail, you are paying for an oversized ipod touch and a little half eaten apple on the back of POS software and hardware

ReplyDeleteJESUS Archos. I want that tablet. But at the same time, DO NOT PUT LIVE WALLPAPERS AND 100000000 ICONS ON THE SCREEN BEFORE DEMOS! Makes the tablet look slow when it in fact, is not. Honestly (cept for you ifags) how many icons do you need on your screen at one time? ADWLauncher with a dock and a nice STATIC wallpaper, or hell even a live one at that point. It will show its true power. and you dont need a damn video widget. just press the icon. >__> Failsauce, Still buying the tablet though...

what is the exact resolution on the TV display, if you connect your Tablet to the LCD TV via HDMI ?
Is it also 1024x600 or is it 1280x720 ?
Is the display really so angle depended as some have written ?

ReplyDeleteactually the dell streak 7 is 250 off of ebay, 16 gb, but expandable by 64 gb normal sd, making it 80 gb, for less then 300$ to 350$ depending on sshipping costs,

ReplyDeleteyup, I just got a Toshiba Thrive,now let me tell you, it is the most underrated tablet on the market, it has all the ports you will ever need, full size and mini usb. Full size HDMI port, Full size SD slot. 2mp front facing and 5mp back facing cameras removable battery pack, Tegra 2 processor with one gigabit of RAM. running Honeycomb 3.2. need I say more? lol the 8gb model goes for under 350$ while the 32gb sells for just under 500$, at least in Canada it does. check it out bro!

ReplyDeleteHe has a funny idea of an impressive tablet. I just got one for my daughter. She is 2. She just needs childs games, Play with the camera, and skype to talk to her grandparents. Not with this tablet. It is rubbish. Uses Applib and is not recognised by google for Android market. Absolutely no chance of getting skype video working so far. Will try a little more tomorrow then I am taking it back to the store. If its useless as a toy for a 2 year old....

ReplyDeletei just got this for my kid as a xmas gift and i keep getting this error when trying to download ay apps....i even deleted the apps that came with the tablet and still get the error "download please make sure you have free space and retry" can anyone please help out
