    there is something missing from this. I have attmepted this root about 5 times and it will not go through, do you need a sd card . I put the zip file on the device and held the power and the volume up button for the 5 plus secs and the screen flashed but the unit was disabled and showed the triangle with a ! inside and the android character. what is going on>>>> can you help.

    i have the black verson of android 2.2 installed the only problem i have is start up is really slow and some apps crash ,but this proves that PDN os is really not made for reading books because on the default os the reader page moving is really bad and on android is not bad at all and allows orther things like calenders and other stuff.

    I have the same tablet as you and i have taken your advise about how to download and everything seem to be working and going according to plan but then when it came time to turn it on, i got the green android figure standing next to a triangle with an exclaimation point in it, and now i cant get it to come on at all, please tell me its possible for you to help me? i just got this two days ago. Thank so much in advance!

    Tried this twice and stops a ! triangle. reset button and same thing. Any suggestions?

    I just bought this tablet and could not root it. My tablet stuckedon the reboot process and got triangle with excramation mark + android picture. Please helppppp How to root it?

    Really extracts the zip at boot? Please respond fast someone im rooting this tablet for a friend and has to be done asap.. So just to make sure i know what im doing copy the pandigital-root.zip file to the sd and + button and power on reboot?? seams strange that novel would extract the zip when its booted and no other files have to be in the root directory of the sd card.. ?? and i noticed you mention a file name.

    Mine does not have apps but it says when I press 'SAM' it says application is not installed on phone. What can I do to fix that!? (not that I use it) just for me to know! And whenever I go to google and type in YouTube. It says android is not working and the only way is for force close it. Please help!!!!!!!

    just get a toothpick look at the top of the tablet and insert the toothpick were it says reset that will reset it, and try again

    i found the soulution...get a toothpick or a saftey pin or something small and press the reset button...it should eathier turn device off or restart it...if it turned off just turn it back on and it should be just fine
