Archos 101 Tablet

Archos 101 Tablet: archos 5 tablet

When I first received my Archos 101 tablet, the first thing I noticed about the product was its weight. Remarkably, this tablet only weighs a pound and is undoubtedly lighter than the iPad and Galaxy Tab. However, Archos did something unexpected when the company first released their product on the market. The company simultaneously released 5 versions of their product on the same day. The price range of these touchscreen tablets ranged from $ 100 - $ 300, I guess that the $ 200 price gap accommodates for the various versions of the tablets.

Here are the following 5 tablet version numbers: Version 28, 32, 43, 70, 101. The design and feel of Version 101 sort of reminds me of the smaller 7-inch Archos 70 which also ships with a hard protective case. People today keep up with fast paced society, making them always on the go. Thus, it is always a good thing to have protective cases for your portable valuables such as your cell phone and laptops because we often bump into people and things, or, of course, you might just be a clutz like myself.

Being an Android tablet, the Archos 101 tablet runs on Google's Android OS, which means that all of your favorite apps such as Gmail, Facebook, Skype and YouTube, just to name a few, will run smoothly.

The reason for the Archos 101 smooth functionality stems from its 10-inch screen, down to its internal 1GHz processing power. As we continue to follow the smooth functionality of the Archos 101 externally, we find that it is a technology beast (in a good way, of course).

Not only does it have a standard USB port but it also has WiFi and Bluetooth capability. If this tablet could let out a technical roar, we surely would be able to hear it through its stereo speakers. Also, hardcore gamers will surely love this machine because of its 3D open GL technology graphic options. As for your viewing pleasure, Archos 101's 1024 x 600 screen resolution is very accurate in displaying color depth and is reasonably responsive to the slightest human touch.

The Archos 101 tablet is equipped with a micro SD slot which supports cards ranging from 8GB to 32GB. This may not seem like a huge deal, but trust me, it helps. You may well need that extra memory as you keep using and storing stuff on your tablet!
